Once in a lifetime trip to Morocco

I cannot express how amazing this trip was. The Moroccan hospitality is on another level. If you have a chance to go to Morocco, please GO! You will absolutely not regret it. I got in touch with Ismail and told him exactly what I wanted to see and he came up with such a great itinerary for our 10 day stay. I went on this trip with my friend and we were greeted by our tour guide Abdul and he made us feel at home right away- very friendly, funny, knowledgeable and personable! The whole tour guide was amazing and they made sure no stone was left unturned. The accommodations were fantastic with my favorite being in Chefchaouen and the eco camp in the Sahara. Traveling from Casablanca to the blue Pearl of Chefchaouen through the vast Sahara desert and to the bustling markets of Marrakesh, everything was a dream. I can’t wait to go again!

Ismail made our tour of Morocco the absolute best! He holds knowledge of Morocco’s history, geology and areas of interest and shared it while safely driving from city to city. He was always very prompt and made sure all our needs were taken care of throughout our tour. I’d only want Ismail for a guide in the future and would highly recommend him to family and friends. A tour with Ismail is an experience of a lifetime. I hope to return again to beautiful Morocco!

Completely private, customizable, high-quality private tour for the price of a group tour. Simply amazing. Just Do It. Here’s why… Don’t be fooled by the price. This is not just private but a fully customizable, including last minute changes to a particular day’s activity. It’s perfect for: * Those who want to see everything but don’t have enough vacation time (like us Americans!), * families who need flexibility, * people who don’t like to wait for others… Yes, traveling on your own without a driver/guide in Morocco is doable, but only if you have a lot of time, flexibility and patience. You’ll be haggled like crazy in the souk and driving in morocco is long-distance, stressful and difficult. Leave it to the expert so that you can focus on maximizing your time and having fun. Tour groups in general are easier as someone else drives, guides you, helps you with translation etc. You can make some great friends too. However, that means you have to give up many thing you may want to do and the worst — wasting time waiting for people who don’t come back to the bus on time. That’s where Morocco Private Tours come in. 1. This is not just a private, but fully customizable tour. The itinerary you see is JUST A SAMPLE. For us, because the price was so reasonable, we didn’t realize it was private AND custom until our trip actually started, so we weren’t really able to take advantage of it fully. Itineraries, hotels, activities, or even finding best deal for a giant carpet for your home… they can help you with that. 2. Unlike group tours when you are forced to pick a departure day, you can leave any day, so you can find the best flight and build the itinerary to accommodate that. You can also start and end in any city you want. 3. Their price was actually lower than the group tour we considered with similar itineraries and hotels. For the service we got, this is an absolute steal. 4. Ismail, the backend guy was so attentive with all our questions and making necessary arrangements and changes. 5. Idir, our driver/guide spoke very good English, was very knowledgeable and we had the best time with him! 6. All hotels were well located with quite large rooms. Hotels were all very different based on their location. Our accommodations in Chefchaouen, Fes and Marrakech were super close and walking distance to the center of town. Riad Ahlam in Fes had great food (we had relaxing dinners on both nights), a very large room with moroccan charm and friendly staff. Le Medina Essauioura had a large ocean facing room, came with 1 hour at the heated spa pool, a private beach and the hugest breakfast spread with soups, salads, pastries and even desserts! 7. You get private guides for Chefchaouen, Akchur Falls tour (do it! strenuous but fun!), Fes, Volubilis and Marrakech. Those at Chefchaouen and especially Marrakech (Nourrddine) were excellent. One of the best memories from this trip was having a cheap yet delicious soup and sardine for lunch with him and local artisans in a shack in the middle of the medina! The nature guide for Akchur Falls, Amine didn’t speak much English but he was so attentive and caring. 8. This was our 25th wedding anniversary, so we asked if they could do something special. They arranged a private dinner and a cake at the desert with everyone else who was staying at Tiziri camp, at no extra charge. 9. We got to enjoy both sunset camel ride going to Tiziri Camp in the desert and back in 4X4. 10. Worried about getting lost in the maze of the medina in Marrakesh or Fes when you are on your own? Your driver guide will come help you if you get lost. (We didn’t - Google maps worked pretty well, but having that peace of mind is priceless!) 11. Worried about toilet paper and hole in the floor toilets? Not only hotels but the restaurants and rest stops they took us all had western style toilet and toilet paper. They also carry rolls of TPs in the car should you need it. You might ask anything that’s less than perfect with this tour? 1. In Morocco, drivers are not official guides, so the guides you get for city tours are hit or miss. For example, The tour at Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca seemed to starts at a random time as they get enough people (like 50), so we missed the official guide, ended up with the abbreviated version given by a guide who supposedly speak 8 languages but didn’t speak the best English. He also demanded generous tip from beginning to the end which was a huge turn off. It was waste of money at 140DH per head plus tip for 15 minutes tour (instead of 40). You might want to have Morocco Private Tour mainly do the driving part and find the city, souk, for tour etc. that fits your needs on your own. 2. According to our itinerary and confirmation with Ismail, on our last day in Morocco (before we take our flight the next day) we were supposed to drive from Essaouira to Casablanca, stop in Oualidia to enjoy seafood and the cistern in El Jadida (was closed), then back to Casablanca for one last dinner and then drive to the airport hotel. However, we left Essaouira at 8:30am, stop at the pottery town of Safi (pottery studio tour was very interesting - highly recommended), then straight back to airport hotel, arriving around 5pm after stopping at the Mall of Morocco to pick up some food at the supermarket, as our driver had to go back to Marrakesh to be ready for the next customer the next day. I’m not sure what we agreed upon wasn’t communicated, or things had changed. Given how great he was, he must be in demand, but I wish they planned things a bit better as we felt our vacation was cut a bit short at the end… 3. Most food was fabulous but the buffet dinner in Xaluca Dades had a large selection but the food was not hot at all… (the new itinerary shows staying in　Ouarazaate instead, so it may not affect you.) 4. Their listed itinerary was a bit confusing so it required a little bit of clarifying. But Ismail was very patient and accommodating. The bottom line.... This was an adventure of a lifetime! We were glad we saw everything we wanted, however, this tour is jam-packed, fast-paced and a bit exhausting at times (especially in places like Fes and Marrakech.) Chefchauen has a lot of stairs and slopes, the Riads we stayed had a lot of stairs and no elevator. We loved it, but if you are not confident with your stamina, consult with them to adjust your itinerary to fit your needs. Give them a chance, and you’ll be glad you did.

Highly recommended!!!I decided to embark on a 4-day excursion from Marrakech to Fes and it was an extraordinary experience! Our itinerary featured an array of activities including quad biking, camping, and a sunset camel ride safari. The quad biking was undoubtedly a standout moment for us, as we were able to explore the picturesque Moroccan terrain in a thrilling way. The guides were well-informed and took great care to ensure our safety throughout the entire adventure. We enthusiastically endorse this activity to anyone seeking an exhilarating escapade. Our camping experience was also remarkable. We spent the nights in traditional tents and relished the scrumptious meals provided by our hosts. The bonfire under the starry sky was particularly enchanting and we valued the opportunity to detach from our devices and fully immerse ourselves in the desert surroundings. Lastly, the sunset camel ride safari was a serene and ideal conclusion to our trip. The best so far.

We did a 6-day private tour from Casablanca to Marrakesh and it was phenomenal. Our main highlight was our driver Ismail. He was helpful, insightful and was accommodating of our interests and our random cultural questions. The trip really felt tailor-made for us. The hotels and riads we stayed in were beautiful. The local guides and activities we did were also incredible and we definitely learnt so much about Morocco. Staying in the Sahara desert is an incredible experience and worth it for that much alone. We really enjoyed seeing all the major crafts in Fes. The only consideration is the amount of driving involved. We didn't mind and it's the only way to see the diversity and beauty of Morocco. However, I would recommend booking a longer tour if you want more time in each city (and therefore longer gaps between drives). We got plenty of breaks/activities in between so it was still enjoyable for us whilst still within our budget. We loved every second and we're so excited to go back sometime in the future! Thank you all!

Overall I supremely enjoyed this trip; it had a good mix of activities, from visiting historical sites, culturally rich experiences, and beautiful views of nature. The meals could be a bit repetitive, but as a vegetarian it's to be expected to only have vegetable tagine and cous cous for dinner, and pancakes and jam for breakfast. Accommodation was comfortable and sufficed, though occasionally the showers were a bit too cold for my liking! (read: freezing). But if there is a bed and clean towels and a working toilet, I'm satisfied. This trip could not have been what it was without our guide, Yassine. he gave us an insight into Moroccan culture, and shared his own experiences to help us understand the country we were in; it felt like we had become from friends by the end of it. he knew a lot of information and made sure we ran on a tight schedule! I wish him all the best with achieving his dreams

Fabulous 9-day trip through Morocco with Ismail

My husband and I did a 9-day tour of Morocco with Ismail. We left feeling like Ismail had become part of our family. We were impressed with his knowledge of history, his friendliness, and his resourcefulness. Morocco is a big country. Even with 9 days, there is a lot of driving but our conversations with Ismail made the time fly by. He helped us navigate the cultural elements of our tour and had excellent rapport with staff at all of our accommodations and with the local guides, ensuring that we had the best experiences along our route. He is also an excellent driver. Significantly, when my husband got sick mid-way through our trip, Ismail helped us to find an excellent clinic and stayed with us late into the evening interpreting. His kindness and caring was beyond anything I would have expected. I can honestly recommend Ismail with no reservations.

My mother and I were looking for an unforgettable mother/daughter trip to Morocco. We have always wanted to learn more about the culture, taste the delectable cuisine and see the beautiful sights in the few days that we had to travel. We had the immense privilege of booking a private tour with Mr. Achoukane and that was the best decision we could have made. He safely whisked us through the perfect Moroccan roads from Casablanca to Fez to the Blue City to glamping in the desert to Marrakech, with long travel days through mountains, to the edges of the Sahara and in and out of the walls of bustling ancient cities. Along the way he taught us about history, pointed us to the best local spots, showed us the marvels and ensured our every need and comfort were met while being flexible and amenable to our scheduling and tempo. Traveling through Morocco was an unforgettable experience for us, but traveling with Ismail and making a wonderful friend on this journey was the cherry on top. Book the trip. You’ll be in the best hands and learn from someone who is passionate and serious about their work, who loves and appreciates Morocco with all of its pluses and minuses and has so much to show and tell you.

Ismail is the guide you want when you're looking for a truly knowledgeable, kind, genuine, and funny tour guide. What an amazing experience we had when we did a 7-day tour all over Morocco for our summer vacation. By the end, we were all friends, and often invited Ismail to eat dinner with us on our personal days. He answered all my questions on facts and history on each of the sights we saw, showed me where all the photographic spots that tourists flock to as well as the lesser-known local treasures you wouldn't want to miss. He is patient, and is happy to take as much time as you want if you'd like to hang back at a certain spot. He will speak to the locals if you need something, and will always make sure you're safe. He even showed me how to haggle a bit! He will customize your experience as you like it, and at the end of the tour I asked Ismail if he would be so kind as to show me his hometown, which was outside the itinerary. Ismail has a great sense of humor, and since my family loves a sarcastic jab at each other, I'm sure it was very amusing for him to watch (I think I caught him smiling a few times at our bickering :) ) He fit right in with us. Thank you Ismail for a wonderful time! I'm going to be messaging you if I'm ever back in Morocco.

Me and my 2 other friends recently had 7 days tour in Morocco with the most friendly driver/guide . He treated us Fairly, friendly and perfectly and keened to make the tour well organized... He is very punctual ,The tour program was scheduled well, was on time , we didn't miss anything during the tour . We felt very safe, the car was clean and comfortable and we couldn't wish for a better service.. Ismail is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide/driver (recommendable!). We truly enjoyed traveling with him through the cities. The atmosphere was so special , All respect for Ismail who did a great job during our trip ,a true sample of excellent guide/driver ! Is There any Dress Code for Women Visiting Morocco?

No. You may wear whatever you feel comfortable in, we only have one exception on tours of the Mosque like Hassan II. To enter you would need to dress conservatively as you would in a church (no shorts, tanks tops, etc.).
